Important notice

This accessibility statement is a draft. Its central claim is a claim about the product as it actually is, so it must be reviewed against a real audit before publication. Publishing a conformance level the product has not been tested against is worse than publishing nothing.

Scope

This statement applies to the AssetObserve web application and its public website.

Conformance status

AssetObserve has not yet been audited against WCAG 2.2 Level AA or BITV 2.0. This statement therefore claims no conformance level. An audit is planned; until it has been carried out, we describe below what has been done and what we know is missing rather than asserting a status we cannot evidence.

Measures taken so far

• Every page provides a skip link to the main content, so keyboard users do not have to traverse the navigation on every screen.
• The interface honours the operating system's reduced-motion preference and disables transitions and animations when it is set.
• The console offers a light and a dark theme, and follows the operating system setting by default.
• The interface is fully localized, so assistive technology announces content in the user's own language rather than in English.
• Forms provide visible required-field guidance, linked error summaries, password-manager metadata and advance warning before session expiry.
• The topology view includes permanent searchable device and connection tables synchronized with the visual map, and charts include adjacent value tables.
• HTML is the primary accessible report format. Stored PDF reports have a linked on-demand HTML alternative.
• An automated check runs on every change and records the known accessibility defects per screen. That record may shrink but never grow, so the debt cannot increase between audits.

Known limitations

• Formal screen-reader testing with NVDA, VoiceOver and TalkBack has not yet been completed.
• Task-based evaluation with disabled users and an independent WCAG audit have not yet been completed.
• PDF tagging has not been verified. Use the linked HTML alternative or ask us for another accessible format.

Enforcement procedure

Where the applicable national implementation of the European Accessibility Act or of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 provides an enforcement or conciliation body, a user who is not satisfied with our response may contact it. Insert the competent body for the jurisdiction this statement is published in.
