A connection stores its settings and a reference to a credential profile. The secret itself is held in the server-local vault, and outbound calls are checked against an egress policy before they leave.
The tools you already run, as sources and destinations
AssetObserve is not trying to replace your service desk, your endpoint manager or your SIEM. It reconciles what they each already know into one inventory with provenance, and sends findings and asset records back out to the systems your team works in.
Each connector below carries the status the product actually assigns it. Nothing here is described as finished because it would look better on this page.
What connecting one does, and does not, do
The same boundary that applies to scanning applies here.
Registering a connector stores the configuration. Data moves only when a sync is scheduled or run, and each run is attributable in the audit trail.
An asset that arrived from Intune or a CMDB stays labelled with where it came from, so coverage reporting can tell an observed asset from an imported record.
Implemented and exercised by the test suite. Configure it in the workspace and it moves data.
The contract and the vendor mapping are implemented, but the integration has not been through the same field exposure. Expect to validate it against your own tenant before relying on it.
